Soon to starup 2nd hand Edge

Hi. Got a good deal on a black Edge 6 months old today. Setting up for a fishless cycle later this week. Plotting tropical freshwater. Any advice more than welcome. Will browse existing threads.

Hi Jen and Mike,
My son and I have had our Fluval Edge set up for just over a month now (it's our first tank/pet). One suggestion I'd have is to definitely not use fine sand. The filter has a tendancy to clear a crater towards the front of the tank.
